Funding Update

Many thanks to all who were able to attend the Foundation’s Behavioral Health Listening Meetings this Spring.  We are grateful that you took the time out of your busy schedules to participate in such a thoughtful conversation about the behavioral health care system, and the Lancaster Osteopathic Health Foundation’s role in our community's future.

We want to alert our grantees and partners to an evolution in our funding methods.  Our grant making will shift to a focus on investments in long-term strategies and partnerships that will allow us to better serve our mission of improving public health and well-being by focusing on two intersecting goals: strengthening the capacity of health care professionals, and improving children’s behavioral health services. We look forward to getting back to you in the coming months with details of our new children’s behavioral health funding initiative.

The initiative will be driven by the ideas generated at the Listening Meetings:  The initiative will emphasize efficient and effective collaboration and coordination of existing community resources, and will make it easier for families, primary care providers and child serving professionals to navigate the complex system of behavioral health care.

We sincerely appreciate you helping us “imagine” a better Lancaster, and as always, we welcome your questions and feedback.
